Affiliate Commission Disclosure
HostRanker is an independently owned comparison and review portal. Some of the outbound links to hosting providers on this website are affiliate links. If you click on an affiliate link and subsequently purchase hosting services, we may receive a referral commission from the provider.
This commission comes at zero additional cost to you. In fact, we frequently negotiate exclusive discount codes (such as ROCK25 or DO200) that lower your checkout price.
Editorial Independence
Our lab testing scores, Geekbench throughput charts, TTFB rankings, and pros/cons are determined strictly by empirical measurements. Hosting providers cannot pay to inflate their benchmark scores, delete negative comments, or achieve #1 podium placement.
Hardware & Benchmark Variability
Virtual Private Server performance can vary based on hypervisor load, geographic distance between client and datacenter, noisy neighbors, and local network routes. Our benchmarks reflect average measurements taken across our test nodes over 30 to 90 continuous days.
How Affiliate Commissions Work
When you click a tracked link such as /go/1 and later purchase hosting, the provider may pay us a referral fee. The fee is set by the provider and never changes the price you pay. Commissions fund anonymous server purchases, benchmark hardware and editorial time.
Testing Limitations
Benchmarks describe average behaviour across our test window, not a guarantee for every plan, region or workload. Hypervisor contention, routing changes, promotional hardware and provider policy updates can all change real-world results. Always confirm the current plan specification with the provider before ordering.
Reporting an Error
If a price, specification or benchmark on this site is out of date, please tell us through the contact page. Verified corrections are published within two business days and credited on the review page.
Editorial Corrections Policy
When a provider changes pricing, hardware or terms, we update the affected review and add the revision to the page. Substantive corrections that change a verdict are highlighted in the changelog at the bottom of the review. Spotted an error? Send the URL and evidence through the contact page and we will re-test the claim.
